Social media assets for Los Angeles-based fine jewelry company, Billie Valentine.
Taking from the vintage, sunny, lo-fi, and punk aesthethic cues from the Billie Valentine online storefront and Instagram, I photographed an assortment of images with hard lighting to give both a punk feel as well as evoke hard Los Angeles sunlight. I exaggerated textures where possible and gave all images a lo-fi treatment to mimic film without compromising image quality. The brand favors Debbie Harry/Blondie and Helmut Newton as recurring inspo; I incorporated these figures by utilizing photobooks from publishers Taschen and Rizzoli. I created multimedia collages, styling the jewelry atop pages in a way that interacted with the photography while maintaining focus on the jewelry itself.
