DC/Warner Bros. Pictures’ BIRDS OF PREY (2020) premiered roughly one month before the nationwide quarantine.
As an admirer of the film’s message, attitude, and aesthetic, my first quarantine project was to adapt Birds of Prey
into a limited poster series, inspired by the film’s Old Hollywood nods. This included a direct imagining in the style
of CASABLANCA (1942), an adapted imagining of THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN ARM (1955), referencing
a plot device within the movie, and an imagined sequel in the style of VERTIGO (1958).

The Casablanca-inspired poster was featured at DC’s all-platform convention, DC FANDOME on September 12th, 2020.
